Overview of department
Current Department of Respiratory Medicine was established in 2008 by merging the research, education, and medical practices of respiratory medicine in the former First Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Geriatric and Respiratory Medicine, and Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer. Professor Masakazu Ichinose took the post in 2012, and the department is being developed as comprehensive Respiratory Medicine Department.
